Oman Air, Oman‘s national carrier, said it is continuing to expand across Europe by adding five common cities with Lufthansa, Europe’s largest airline, to its list of codeshare destinations. According to a statement from the airline, guests will fly on Oman Air flights from Muscat to Munich and Frankfurt and link seamlessly to Amsterdam, Dublin, Helsinki, Oslo and Warsaw under the expanded agreement with the first flights scheduled to depart on October 27.
Oman Air, CEO Abdulaziz Al Raisi said: “Strategic codeshares are a vital way for us to expand customer choice and make it easier for business and leisure travelers to enter the sultanate and beyond.” “Our relationship with Lufthansa is very important to Oman Air and we are pleased to offer even better connectivity to our valued guests in Europe. We are confident that guests will consider Oman Air‘s award-winning services and Lufthansa‘s heritage services to be a truly rewarding experience, “he said.
The new agreement, which increases the number of codeshare destinations with Lufthansa to 12, reflects Oman Air’s commitment to connect the Sultanate – a unique, fast-growing destination for commerce and leisure travel – with the world. Brussels, Vienna, Prague, Madrid and Barcelona are serving additional codeshare flights between the two airlines, first formed in 2017. On its round-trip flights from Muscat to Frankfurt and Munich, Lufthansa also codeshares with Oman Air.
Oman Air now serves 24 European destinations, with non-stop flights to 10 cities and partnerships connecting guests with 14 additional destinations on the continent
